BeenThere was founded because we noticed a fundamental flaw in the way millennials plan for travel. People want to have meaningful conversations with like-minded people to learn about destinations. As recent graduates ourselves and passionate travelers who have received poor information in the past, we wanted to solve this problem. The world has become an increasingly accessible place, and we, the young, want to explore it. However, as a more vulnerable traveler, we don’t have the money or time to waste on incorrect information. This is why we created a community where young travellers choose who they connect and share with, giving them the ability to take full control of their experience. We additionally give each unique user immediate value by connecting them with someone who’s been where they’re looking to go. Have meaningful conversations and learn real experiences from people just like you!
The first iteration of BeenThere is a stepping stone we will use to achieve our goal of changing the way people experience the world. It will allow you to connect with all users in the same city as you to plan, share, and book your experiences. Learn about the new hotspots, trends, and more firsthand from people similar to you. We are rapidly growing the community with universities students and backpackers around the world.
